In collaboration with the COOm you help decide what we run ourselves, where a supplier makes more sense, and how the pieces fit together. Within one to two years, there is a path to the CFO role.

About the role

AI is arriving in organisations faster than most of them planned for. Someone has to keep track of it, usually the CISO, the IT lead or the compliance officer. Velatir is the layer that gives those people a clear view of how AI is actually used across the organisation. We need someone to build the financial foundation underneath that, so the company grows on solid numbers.

Who we are

Velatir is a SaaS company with offices in Odense and Stockholm. We work across eight markets, with customers ranging from ten-person companies to large enterprises and public organisations such as municipalities. The business is growing, and the finance function has to grow with it.

What you'll do

You report to the COO (who is also a founder) and work closely with the executive team. Your week might include:

Partners and advisers. You coordinate with our external bookkeeper, auditor and other advisers, and you hold the work to a clear standard.
Budgets, forecasts and runway. You keep them current and report back to the team, so decisions rest on the latest numbers. We need real time data available, when needed.
Financial modelling. You build and maintain the models of our growth. You keep track of burn-rate, cashflow and know the financial risks and opportunities for each commercial decision.
Fundraising. You support the process with models, data and answers to investor questions.
The shape of the function. You advise on what we handle ourselves and what we hand to suppliers. You set it up AI-first from the start.

What we're looking for

What you bring

Several years in finance, FP&A, audit or a similar role, with hands-on ownership of budgets, forecasts and reporting.
Strong financial modelling. You build models others can read, question and use.
AI as part of your everyday workflow. You use it to automate routine work, analyse faster and test assumptions, and you know where your own judgement takes over.
Strategic sense. You see how the numbers connect to decisions on hiring, pricing and markets.
Drive. You work independently, take initiative and finish what you start.

Nice to have

Experience from a SaaS company
International scaling, including VAT, reporting and tax across several countries
Experience from a venture-backed company, including fundraising processes
Fluency in Danish

How you work

You’re calm with numbers and clear with people. You can explain a forecast to someone who doesn’t read spreadsheets. You raise problems early. You build processes that still work when the company is twice the size.
