Rules
Rules are used to create conditions for the event types they are connected to. Rules also decide which channels are used for event approvals.

When creating a new rule you specify a name, the event type it should be listening for, how many approvals are required, and which channels should be used for event approvals. A rule could look like this:

This rule is triggered by event types named string and requires one approval, which is being sent to the email that has been added. Once created, you should see something like this in the rules list:
